Stave and Notes - Annual Camp 2018

Teacher Una held Stave and Notes - the annual camp for her students for general musicianship. Students had a fun time learning note reading, musical concepts, etc.

Annual Christmas Recital and Party 2018
Date: 15th December 2018
​
The annual Christmas Recital and Party had 2 sessions this year. Students played a solo piece and an ensemble piece and with christmas carols as a finale. Everyone had a great time celebrating the end of the last term for 2018 with the party.
STEAS Graduation Concert 2018

9 Suzuki violin students from Mrs Lauw and Teacher Una graduated and performed from various Suzuki Violin Books, Volume 1 to 3 in the 1st Singapore Suzuki graduation concert that was organized by STEAS for local Suzuki student members.
Birthday Bash Performance for 141st birthday for National Museum of Singapore

STEAS was invited to perform for the 141st birthday of the Grand Dame of Singapore, The National Musuem of Singapore. Mrs Lauw and Una's students perform with fellow Suzuki Students and Teachers in the afternoon concert at the birthday bash celebration. Popular favorites like Jasmine flower, My favourite things, Por Una Cabeza were played for the audiences who were there to enjoy the activities. It was an exciting experience for to be playing at our famous local museum.

Young Violinists' Concert 2018

This is the 39th students' concert organised by the Lauw Family. Familiar pieces from the Suzuki Violin Repetoire were played among familiar pieces like Over the Rainbow, Smoke gets in your eyes, Pirates of the Caribbean.

Suzuki Teachers Training - Vol. 4

Teacher Una attend review Suzuki Violin Teachers Training(Vol. 4) held in Bangkok, Thailand with fellow STEAS Suzuki Violin Teachers and Teachers from around the region.

ARSA Board meeting 2018

Venue: Manila, Philippines
The 2018 ARSA board meeting was held after the Manila conference. Congratulations to TATE(Thailand's association talent education) is now recognized as a country member of the ARSA board.
Asia Region Suzuki Conference 2018
Date: 1-5 July, 2018
Venue: Manila, Philippines
Organised by Philippines Suzuki Association(PSA), Teacher Una was invited to teach at the Asia Region's 7th Suzuki conference. Singapore was represented by STEAS at the conference. STEAS teachers performed an Singapore item at the opening ceremony which was very well-received by the local audience due to the clever arrangement done by Tan Wen-Bin which included local folksongs. In all, it was a very fruitful for all!
Violin Funtasy Holiday Camp 2018
Date: 21st - 23rd June 2018

It has been 2 years since we had Mr Nakamura and Teacher Masaki in Singapore. We had a great time learning and playing together. This time, students ensembles were included and the advanced students had the chance to try something new. It was a very well-received event for STEAS violin teachers and students.

Mrs Lauw and Una's Suzuki violin students at the 2nd successful edition of the Suzuki Students marathon concert that is organized by STEAS for STEAS student members.
TTEA Winter Camp 2018
Date: 1st to 6th February 2018
​
Mrs Lauw and Una brought a group of Suzuki violin students to attend TTEA's winter camp 2018. The students were all very inspired and enjoyed themselves tremendously. For many, this is a first time that they attended an overseas Suzuki music camp.
